BluPine Energy to Generate Renewable Energy Assets

BluPine Energy, supported by global infrastructure investor Actis, plans to develop four gigawatts (GW) of solar and wind power, alongside hybrid assets integrated with battery energy storage (BES), within the next five years in India. The company plans to expand its renewable energy (RE) capacities through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

It has acquired 400 megawatts (MW) of solar power capacity from the Atha Group and is in advanced negotiations to secure an additional 400 MW. BluPine is actively engaged in projects comprising 650 MW in Gujarat and 150 MW in Rajasthan. Moreover, the company has secured a tender for 150 MW, which will encompass a combination of wind, solar, and battery storage, slated for development in Karnataka. As reported by businessline, BluPine Energy’s ongoing project capacities total approximately 1.35 GW, inclusive of two recently awarded tenders: 300 MW from SJVN and 100 MW from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL).
