Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), is planning to invest a substantial amount of ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 crore in the development of an integrated refinery and petrochemicals complex at Ramayapatnam port in the SPSR Nellore district.
The state government proposed three possible locations to the centre for the establishment of BPCL’s planned oil refinery complex at greenfield ports, including Machilipatnam in Krishna district, Ramayapatnam in Nellore district, and Mulapeta in Srikakulam district.
As reported by myind.net, the refinery complex, which BPCL plans to develop on a 1,000-acre site, is projected to have a production capacity of twelve million tons per year.
