Engineers India Limited (EIL), in collaboration with GAIL (India), successfully installed India’s first catofin reactor at the propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit within the PDH-PP petrochemical project in Usar, Maharashtra.

The accomplishment marks the first instance globally of a catofin reactor being assembled on-site at a project location.

EIL is pioneering the establishment of the propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit in India, followed by the construction of the downstream polypropylene (PP) unit.

As reported by psuconnect.in, the landmark project underscores EIL’s expertise in engineering consultancy and project execution within the hydrocarbon industry, as well as its dedication to reducing reliance on imports.
