Chiyoda Bags EPC Contract from Eneos for a MCH Demonstration Plant

Chiyoda Corporation (Chiyoda) has secured an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract from ENEOS Corporation for a large-scale Direct Methylcyclohexane electrosynthesis (Direct MCH®) demonstration plant.

Project Backed by NEDO’s Green Innovation Fund

This project is part of the Green Innovation Fund initiative for Large-Scale Hydrogen Supply Chain Establishment and Direct MCH electrosynthesis technology development. The New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) commissioned this effort to drive advancements in hydrogen production.

Advancing Green MCH Production Technology

The demonstration plant will assess potential challenges for the large-scale adoption of Green MCH production technology. It will feature a cutting-edge Direct MCH® electrolyzer developed by ENEOS. By addressing key hurdles, the project aims to accelerate the early implementation of this technology, which is crucial for achieving a carbon-neutral society.

Chiyoda’s Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation
