Clariant is expanding its production site in Cangzhou, Hebei Province, China, to meet growing demand for its multifunctional additive, Nylostab S-EED.

The new, second production line will be jointly owned and operated by Clariant and its local partner, Beijing Tiangang Auxiliary Co., Ltd. The companies marked the occasion with a commencement ceremony attended by their leadership teams.

Strengthening Partnership and Commitment to China

Zhigang Miao, Clariant’s Global Head of Polymer Solutions said, “We are excited to take our partnership with Beijing Tiangang to the next level by breaking ground on a second production line in Cangzhou today. This investment demonstrates our commitment to the Chinese market and our confidence in industries like textiles, automotive, and packaging”.

For three years, the first joint-venture site, launched in 2021, has operated at full capacity. Its success has earned the facility a strong reputation as a reliable local production hub with international expertise. With the new production line underway, the companies aim to achieve even greater success.

Deepening Collaboration for Advanced Solutions

Gang Liu, Executive Director, Tiangang mentioned, “We feel privileged to deepen our collaboration with through the Clariant expansion. Since the beginning of our joint venture, we have enjoyed excellent cooperation with Clariant and among our staff. We hope the new production line will deliver even more advanced additive solutions to local industries and customers in China”.

Focus on Nylostab S-EED

The new production line will specialize in Clariant expansion of unique multifunctional additive, Nylostab S-EED.

This additive is highly compatible with nylons due to molecular recognition, providing excellent process stability at high temperatures.

By reducing filament breakage during spinning processes, it enhances productivity in the textile sector. Additionally, it minimizes cycle time for injection molding processes, making it ideal for engineering plastics and related industries.

Sandra Schneider, Clariant’s Head of Operations and Supply Chain Additives said, “The success of our first joint-venture site in Cangzhou paved the way for this expansion. We’re confident that Nylostab S-EED, produced at the new facility, will address growing demand across the nylon value chain, particularly in China’s textile and engineering plastics industries”.

Meeting Growing Demand in China’s Nylon Industry

China’s nylon industry is expanding rapidly, creating a rising need for high-end additives like Nylostab S-EED.

This multifunctional additive significantly improves nylon product quality by enhancing color stability, heat resistance, and composite compatibility during manufacturing.

These features result in higher productivity and better performance for downstream applications.

As per the press release, with the new production line, Clariant and Beijing Tiangang are
well-positioned to support China’s dynamic industries and provide advanced solutions that meet evolving market demands.
