Corning, a US materials science company, inaugurated a digital and IT centre in Pune. The global capability centre is set to enhance the company’s IT operations, focusing on areas such as supply chain, data, cybersecurity, and other digital domains.
Conveniently located near the Corning Research Centre India, the IT hub will complement ongoing research efforts that cater to regional demands in environmental technologies, telecommunications, and life sciences.
In the past two years, Corning has embarked on several significant initiatives in India. These include a joint venture with SGD Pharma to establish a glass tubing factory and the creation of the Wireless India Development Centre, which aids businesses in the adoption of 5G technology.
