Coromandel International Limited commenced trial production at its newly established phosphoric acid and sulphuric acid plants at Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh. The company successfully achieved the commissioning milestone in line with its earlier guidance for the fourth quarter of FY 2025–26. At present, operations at the plants are in the trial production phase, during which the systems and processes are being stabilised. Coromandel is following a phased ramp-up strategy to gradually reach full rated capacity. The Kakinada project was first announced through a corporate intimation on January 30, 2024, highlighting the company’s commitment to expanding its manufacturing footprint. Since then, Coromandel has steadily progressed with project execution to bring the facilities online within the projected timeline.
