Coromandel Launches Nanotechnology Center in Coimbatore

Coromandel International Limited inaugurated its Coromandel Nanotechnology Centre in Coimbatore, marking its sixth research and development facility. The technology centre is dedicated to advancing the development of a diverse range of nano-enabled agro-inputs for plant nutrition and crop protection.

As reported by DT NEXT, It is the second facility of its kind for Coromandel, with the first being located at the Monash Academy within IIT Bombay, emphasising a focus on next-generation agri-inputs. The company had previously introduced Nano DAP earlier this year, and it has been well-received by the farming community.

Coromandel’s Executive VC Arun Alagappan commented, “This will enable high-quality research in nano space and is in line with various Government initiatives to promote innovation and use of technology. This is a major step towards strengthening India’s R&D capabilities for the development of efficient plant nutrition and protection solutions”.
