Cygni Energy Private Limited partnered with XDLE, producer of ultra-durable lithium LFP cells, to advance stationary energy storage solutions. The collaboration aims to develop energy storage systems ranging from 25kWh to 1MWh for commercial and industrial clients in India.
The new solutions are expected to help lower electricity costs and foster greater adoption of renewable energy. They will come with a top-tier warranty of ten years or more, which is anticipated to boost adoption and attract financing partners.
Venkat Rajaraman, CEO of Cygni Energy, highlighted the advantages of XDLE’s LFP prismatic cells, noting their impressive 15,000-cycle lifespan, low internal resistance, and excellent performance even in low temperatures. These cells, rated for continuous 2C discharge, are also distinguished by their high safety standards, having successfully passed the gunshot test.
Cygni Energy operates a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Hyderabad with a total production capacity of 1.2 GWh. The facility will enable substantial local production of battery energy storage systems and support EPC companies in delivering comprehensive generation and storage solutions.
As reported by msn.com, XDLE, known for its ultra-long-life lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, has significant experience in both behind-the-meter and grid-scale energy storage applications. With a global production capacity of nearly 25GWh, XDLE has implemented numerous MWh-scale projects worldwide. The company is known for developing low-temperature tolerant LFP cells and solid-state batteries, promising new applications and innovations in the future.
