Engineers India Limited (EIL) has secured new business worth ₹4,681 crore, bringing its total order book to approximately ₹11,350 crore in the current financial year, according to CMD Vartika Shukla. She highlighted that EIL’s order inflow reached ₹3,406 crore during the fiscal year. As of March 31, 2024, the company’s order book stood at ₹7,823 crore, with the domestic segment driving growth by contributing ₹2,907 crore.
Diverse Assignments and Domestic Expansion
EIL’s new business includes a wide range of Open Book Estimate (OBE) and Lump Sum Turnkey (LSTK) assignments valued at ₹2,111 crore. These projects strengthen the company’s foothold in India and reinforce its commitment to delivering innovative engineering solutions.
Expanding International Presence
EIL continues to expand globally, securing ₹499 crore in new international contracts. The company has re-entered the markets of Algeria and Kuwait while strengthening its Abu Dhabi office. As a result, business inflow from Abu Dhabi increased by 57% year-on-year, rising from ₹93 crore in 2022-23 to ₹146 crore in FY 2023-24.
Major Global Projects
In FY 2023-24, EIL expanded its global presence with major projects. It played a key role in commissioning Nigeria’s $20 billion Dangote Oil Refinery, highlighting its ‘Local to Global’ vision. Additionally, EIL is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for a 1.5 MMTPA refinery in Mongolia. The project is financed by an Indian government line of credit.
Strategic Contributions in Refining and Infrastructure
EIL is actively contributing to the modernization of refineries across multiple regions:
- In Algeria, the company is delivering Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and PMC services for the NHT-CCR reforming unit at the Arzew refinery.
- In Bahrain, EIL is involved in the design package preparation for a desalination plant to enhance the country’s refining sector.
- In Kuwait, EIL is consulting on FEED and Invitation to Bid (ITB) preparation for revamping the AGRP-1 Unit at the MAA Refinery.
Strengthening Presence in Guyana and the Middle East
EIL continues to expand in Guyana, offering consultancy services for an Integrated Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Plant. It is also supporting the development of a 300 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The company has expanded its presence in the Middle East. It has secured key projects for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and other regional clients.
