Engineers India Ltd (EIL), acting on behalf of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), has officially invited bids for the Delayed Coker Unit (DCU) revamp as part of the refinery’s ongoing expansion project in Assam.
Expansion Aims to Triple Refining Capacity
NRL is currently expanding its refining capacity from three million tons per annum (MTPA) to nine MTPA. In the updated refinery configuration, the existing DCU will continue to process the unconverted bottom stream (UCO) from the Residue Processing Treatment Unit (RPTU). However, to optimize performance, the DCU requires a comprehensive revamp.
Engineers India Appointed as LEPCM Consultant
EIL has been appointed as the Licensor-cum-Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management (LEPCM) consultant for the DCU revamp project. This role involves overseeing all aspects of design, procurement, and construction management to ensure timely and quality execution.
Scope of Work Includes Civil, Structural, and Material Supply
The revamp scope encompasses the complete construction of civil and structural works related to the DCU. It also includes the supply of all necessary materials, tools, tackles, and labour. All work must adhere strictly to the schedule of rates, technical specifications, approved drawings, and addendums outlined in the bidding documents.
Bid Submission Deadline Approaches
As reported by projectstoday.com, interested bidders must submit their proposals by 24 June 2025. This is a critical project that plays a key role in boosting NRL’s refining capabilities.
