Bengaluru based solar panel manufacturer Emmvee Energy has announced a major investment of ₹15,000 crore to set up a solar photovoltaic manufacturing plant. The company will implement this project in phases, strengthening India’s renewable energy sector.
Land Allocation and Initial Investment
The company has requested the Karnataka government to allocate 120 acres of land in the Bengaluru IT Investment Region (ITIR) for the project. The state government will assess the request and facilitate the land allocation accordingly.
In the first phase, Emmvee Energy will invest ₹5,000 crore to establish a facility with a power generation capacity of 5 GW. This initial setup is expected to create 10,000 jobs, significantly boosting employment in the region.
