Typically vulnerable to frequent shutdowns because of the high temperatures and the sensitive nature of the processed fluids, which cause coking in heater tubes, this innovative design by the EIL team addresses such challenges effectively.
As reported by PSU Connect, the twin cell configuration allows one section of the unit to operate while the other is being decoked, ensuring that the coker unit can maintain fifty percent operational capacity continuously.
