Envision Energy India announced the signing of an agreement with Evren for the supply of approximately 152 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) based on Envision’s EN 156/3.3 MW Smart Wind Turbine Platform. These high-performance turbines will be deployed across Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in India’s clean energy expansion.
Evren, backed by the Brookfield Global Transition Fund (BGTF), is rapidly scaling up its renewable portfolio in India. The company plans to develop over 10 GW of renewable energy assets. These projects will span solar, wind, and battery storage across key states, including Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.
Advanced Technology for Optimized Wind Conditions
Envision’s EN 156/3.3 MW Smart Wind Turbine is specifically designed for Indian wind site conditions. Featuring a 156-metre rotor diameter and a 140-metre hub height, this turbine configuration enables higher efficiency and reliability. With a proven track record in the MENA region, Southeast Asia, and China, the platform already has 2.5 GW operational in India. The turbine’s intelligent design enhances Annual Energy Production (AEP). It also offers the lowest Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE), a crucial factor in driving cost-efficient renewable energy adoption.
