FMC Corporation Introduces Three Crop Protection Solutions

FMC Corporation, a known name in agricultural sciences, introduced three innovative crop protection products in India, further strengthening its extensive portfolio of insecticides. The launch underscores FMC’s ongoing commitment to addressing the evolving demands of Indian farmers through science-driven and innovative crop solutions.

The new offerings include velzo® fungicide, vayobel® herbicide, and ambriva® herbicide. Velzo® fungicide, a specialty product, is designed to combat oomycete diseases such as downy mildew in grapes, tomatoes, and potatoes, particularly benefiting grape farmers in Maharashtra and Karnataka, as well as potato and tomato growers nationwide.

As reported by theprint.in, vayobel® herbicide, a pre-emergent, broad-spectrum weed control solution, is tailored for transplanted rice farmers across India to help establish a strong crop foundation. Ambriva® herbicide, featuring the novel isoflex® active ingredient, offers a new mode of action for managing resistant phalaris minor weeds, providing wheat farmers in the Indo-Gangetic plains with a valuable tool for resistance management.

Ravi Annavarapu, President, FMC India stated, “FMC’s focus is on investing in innovative, science-based solutions that enhance crop productivity and resilience while supporting sustainable farming practices. By introducing these advanced crop care solutions, we are reinforcing our commitment to empowering Indian farmers with products tailored to their specific regional needs.
