GAIL (India) Limited has been honoured with the ‘Initiatives in Promoting Hydrogen Company of the Year’ Award at the FIPI Oil and Gas Awards 2023.

Hardeep S. Puri, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, presented the award to Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of GAIL.

Focus on Green Hydrogen Pilot Project
GAIL earned this recognition for its 4.3 TPD green hydrogen pilot project in Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh.
Equipped with a ten MW Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyzer, the project produces 99.999% pure hydrogen.
It stands as a key milestone in GAIL’s journey toward achieving net zero emissions and aligns with the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NHGM) of the Government of India.
