Gensol Engineering, in partnership with Matrix Gas & Renewables, announced that their consortium has bagged a 237 MW annual capacity under the production linked incentive (PLI) scheme for establishing an electrolyser manufacturing plant.
The consortium has now accumulated a total of 300 MW capacity, which includes a previously awarded 63 MW in the first phase of the SECI tender. The achievement translates into an incentive of ₹450 crore under the PLI scheme, granted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
Gensol and Matrix, both promoted by common stakeholders, will continue to collaborate on various green hydrogen initiatives, including projects in green steel and green ammonia. As reported by thehindubusinessline.com, by leveraging their combined expertise, this win enhances their position in the renewable energy sector and opens up new growth opportunities.
