Godavari Biorefineries Limited (GBL), a player in renewable chemicals and biofuels, has signed a strategic licensing agreement with Catalyxx Inc., granting GBL exclusive rights to utilize Catalyxx’s advanced technology for converting ethanol into biobutanol and other higher alcohols in India and selling globally.
The partnership supports GBL’s commitment to sustainability and decarbonization.
In the initial phase, GBL will construct a state-of-the-art facility capable of producing 15,000 metric tons of biobutanol and higher alcohols annually.
Once operational, the facility will strengthen GBL’s position in the global bio-based chemicals market.
