Godrej Agrovet Limited, an agribusiness entity, has unveiled Hanabi, an innovative pesticide designed to manage mites effectively. Developed through a partnership with Japan’s Nissan Chemical Corporation, Hanabi showcases proprietary chemistry aimed at extending control duration and accelerating knockdown activity. These attributes are anticipated to contribute to enhanced yields in agricultural production.
Rajavelu NK, CEO, Godrej Agrovet Limited, Crop Protection Business commented, ″In Kashmir, where the annual export of 1.8 million metric tons of apples sustains livelihoods and contributes to 75% of India’s apple production, we understand the deep impact of our agricultural practices. While abiotic climatic challenges remain beyond our control, the introduction of Hanabi demonstrates our commitment to addressing biotic factors that threaten this thriving industry”.
As reported by AgNews, for optimal effectiveness, Hanabi is recommended during the initial phase of a mite infestation. The initial application, comprising 0.5 grams per liter of water, is advised when the mite population per leaf reaches between three to five.
