Godrej Enterprises Group is set to invest an additional ₹200 crore to expand its manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat. This expansion aims to enhance process equipment manufacturing and strengthen the company’s global presence. Previously, the company had infused ₹300 crore into the plant.
Expansion to Boost Manufacturing Capacity
The Phase-III expansion will significantly increase the facility’s annual manufacturing capacity to approximately 30,000 MT. It will also add production space, introduce a dust-free enclosure for manufacturing exotic materials, and create dedicated bays for internals manufacturing. Additionally, the company plans to develop extended manufacturing yards to accommodate growing production needs.
Focus on Export and Global Markets
Currently, the facility exports 70% of its production to over 40 countries across six continents. The company has a strong focus on the Americas and the Middle East. The expansion will further strengthen Godrej Enterprises’ ability to manufacture high-end and critical process equipment for industries such as hydrogen, nuclear, and geothermal energy, as well as conventional energy sectors like refineries and petrochemicals.
Enhanced Infrastructure for Efficient Operations
As part of the expansion, the facility will feature an extended fabrication yard and an advanced Heat Treatment Furnace. Additionally, a sea-going jetty will enable direct loading and transport of over-dimensional equipment. This ensures seamless logistics and faster deliveries.
Commitment to Clean Energy and Innovation
“With the rising demand for specialised process equipment in the clean energy sector, manufacturers must adapt to meet complex requirements. This strategic expansion of our Dahej facility showcases our commitment to leading this transformation,” said Hussain Shariyarr, Executive Vice President & Business Head of the Process Equipment business at Godrej Enterprises Group.
As reported by thehindubusinessline.com, the investment reaffirms the company’s dedication to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in the manufacturing sector.
