Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon, appointed as the chair of the Global Wind Energy Council India (GWEC India). The role is crucial in enhancing GWEC India’s collaboration with national and state governments to create the necessary momentum and policy frameworks for maximizing the country’s wind energy and supply chain potential, both onshore and offshore, as stated by the Belgium-based GWEC.
As reported by businessline, India, being the fourth largest wind market globally with 46 GW of onshore wind capacity and a leading hub for wind energy manufacturing, is poised to benefit from Tanti’s leadership at both GWEC and GWEC India.
