Hedge5 Manufacturing Solution has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Assam government to develop renewable energy and compressed biogas (CBG) projects in the state. The initiative, with a total investment of ₹500 crore, aims to enhance clean energy production and generate employment.
Employment Generation and Project Timeline
Production will begin between December 2025 and January 2026. The MoU, signed on February 26, 2025, outlines two key projects across multiple locations in Assam.
First Project: A 5 MW Renewable Power Plant
The first project focuses on a five-megawatt (MW) renewable power plant, which will integrate solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). This setup will enable continuous power generation. The plant is expected to become operational by December 2025.
Second Project: Five TPD CBG Plants
The second project involves setting up five TPD (tons per day) CBG plants, with production scheduled to begin in January 2026. These plants will contribute to Assam’s green energy initiatives by producing sustainable biogas.
Government Support and MoU Validity
The Assam government has committed to facilitating all necessary permissions, registrations, approvals, and clearances under existing policies and regulations. The MoU will remain valid for 12 months; moreover, it includes a provision for extension if required.
As reported by projectstoday.com, the partnership marks a significant step towards strengthening Assam’s renewable energy sector and promoting sustainable development.
