Hero Future Energies Shortlisted for Bhubaneswar Hydrogen Valley Project

Hero Future Energies (HFE), the renewable energy division of the Hero Group, has been selected as a consortia partner for the Bhubaneswar Hydrogen Valley Innovation Cluster (HVIC). HFE will collaborate with IIT-Bhubaneswar as the industry partner.

The Bhubaneswar-HVIC aims to produce hydrogen via electrolysis, focusing on applications in the steel and mobility sectors. The government had invited bids to establish 15 hydrogen valley innovation clusters.

The Department of Science and Technology is backing four green hydrogen valleys this year, located in Kerala, Pune, Bhubaneswar, and Jodhpur. These projects will be scaled up to commercial levels and managed by a new Section 8 company to ensure operational sustainability beyond the initial five-year period.

As reported by ETEnergyworld.com, the primary goal of the hydrogen valleys is to enhance research, innovation, and the capacity of scientific and industrial stakeholders, demonstrating clean hydrogen solutions for local, regional, and national implementation.
