Hi-Tech Pipes Aims for 13.5 MW Solar Capacity by December 2024

Hi-Tech Pipes, manufacturer of steel pipes, is aiming for renewable energy capacity of 13.5 MW for its own use by December 2024. Currently, the company has installed 8.5 MW of solar power and is in the process of adding an additional 5 MW in stages. The green energy initiative is expected to meet approximately thirty percent of the company’s total energy needs.

Additionally, Hi-Tech Pipes has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a major renewable energy provider to develop green hydrogen projects for its own use. Besides steel pipes, the company also manufactures tubes, cold rolled coils and strips, road crash barriers, solar mounting structures, and various other galvanized products.

As reported by projectstoday.com, Hi-Tech Pipes operates six manufacturing plants across India, situated in Sikandrabad (Uttar Pradesh), Sanand (Gujarat), Hindupur (Andhra Pradesh), and Khopoli (Maharashtra), with a combined installed capacity of 7,50,000 tons per annum.
