Oil India Limited (OIL) and Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) formalised hook-up agreements to link OIL’s natural gas fields in upper Assam with the Duliajan feeder line of the North-East gas grid. The agreements will facilitate the transportation of natural gas from OIL’s discovered small field (DSF) block in Tripura via IGGL’s 12-inch, 86-kilometer Agartala-Tulamura natural gas pipeline.

The collaboration signifies a significant advancement in OIL’s ongoing efforts to bolster energy infrastructure in the North-East region, reinforcing the company’s commitment to fostering a gas-based economy in India.

The signing ceremony took place at OIL’s field headquarters in Duliajan. As reported by sarkaritel.com, the event was attended by Dr. Ranjit Rath, Chairman and Managing Director, OIL, along with other functional directors and senior officials from both OIL and IGGL.
