Huhtamaki India’s Khopoli Plant gets ISCC Certification

Huhtamaki India’s Khopoli Plant has achieved ISCC certification (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification), marking a significant milestone as it is the first Huhtamaki India site to get the ISCC Plus certification. The accomplishment also makes it the fourth flexible packaging manufacturing facility in India to receive this certification.

The ISCC Plus certification serves as a testament to Huhtamaki’s dedication to sustainability and environmental conservation. The certification process involved an audit focusing on the control of mass balance of ISCC Plus materials such as PE, PP, and PET, assessing the plant’s sustainability management practices and its use of circular materials.

Dhananjay Salunkhe, Managing Director, Huhtamaki India, emphasized that Huhtamaki India is committed to sustainability, transparency, and environmental responsibility. The certification aligns with Huhtamaki’s sustainability strategies, enabling the company to provide certified materials that support a circular economy and help customers meet their sustainability goals.

As reported by ManufacturingToday, the ISCC certification provides international recognition for contributing to a climate-friendly supply chain and reinforces Huhtamaki’s status as a leader in sustainable packaging.
