A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between CSC e-Governance Services India Limited (CSC SPV) and the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO).

The collaboration aims to provide vital agricultural inputs to 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) under the Central Sector Scheme, promoting productivity and sustainability in Indian agriculture.

Focus on Enhancing Agricultural Productivity

Through the partnership, FPOs will receive access to critical inputs such as IFFCO Nano Urea Plus, IFFCO Nano DAP, and other essential resources.

The inputs are designed to reduce production costs, increase yields, and promote sustainable farming practices.

Leaders Celebrate the Partnership

IFFCO MD Dr. U.S. Awasthi stated, “IFFCO signed an MoU with CSC SPV @CSCegov_ to provide essential agricultural inputs like IFFCO Nano Urea Plus, IFFCO Nano DAP, and other resources to 10,000 FPOs under the Central Sector Scheme”.

Supporting the Vision of the Central Sector Scheme

Launched in 2020, the Central Sector Scheme for the Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs focuses on empowering farmers by fostering collective bargaining, improving market access, and boosting incomes.

The initiative is pivotal to enhancing rural sustainability and financial resilience.

Expanding Resources for Farmers

Under the collaboration, IFFCO will supply fertilizers, seeds, and agrochemicals. CSC SPV will use its digital network to ensure easy access to these resources.

Together, they aim to equip farmers with modern tools and technologies. This will help address agricultural challenges and adapt to evolving climate conditions.

Driving Rural Development and Digital Empowerment

Sanjay Rakesh, Managing Director and CEO of CSC SPV, highlighted, “By leveraging the combined services of CSC and IFFCO, small and marginal farmers will experience significant benefits. This initiative goes beyond providing inputs. It also drives rural development and digital empowerment.”

Building a Resilient Agricultural Ecosystem

The partnership underscores a commitment to sustainability and climate resilience.

The collaboration provides modern agricultural inputs and digital services. It aims to create an inclusive agricultural ecosystem that empowers farmers, strengthens decision-making, and fosters long-term rural development.

As reported by indiancooperative.com, the initiative marks a significant step toward uplifting small and marginal farmers. It enables them to thrive in competitive markets and contributes to a more sustainable and resilient farming sector.
