India Takes Lead in G20 Green Energy Transition

In a strategic move to drive worldwide environmental and energy reforms, the Prime Minister emphasized on India’s crucial role in advancing the global green agenda during the G20 virtual leaders’ summit. He highlighted India’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and fostering alternative fuels through the recently launched global biofuels alliance in New Delhi, positioning the nation at the forefront of the shift towards sustainable energy sources.

As reported by ETEnergyworld.com, the Prime Minister drew attention to India’s proactive implementation of green credits and the G20’s adoption of the mission LiFE initiative, which aims to triple the use of renewable energy by 2030.

With the imminent COP-28 climate conference on the horizon, the Prime Minister stressed on the need for concrete steps towards achieving these ambitious goals, marking a pivotal period for global environmental policy.
