India’s renewable energy capacity has witnessed a remarkable increase, reaching 195 GW from just 76 GW in 2014. The ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE) is dedicated to advancing the country’s green energy objectives.
Solar power capacity has soared from three GW in 2014 to more than 85 GW today, while wind power capacity has risen from 21 GW to over 46 GW in the past decade. As reported by ETEnergyworld.com, additionally, under the SIGHT (Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition) program, tenders for 4.12 lakh tons per annum have been awarded to ten companies.
