Inox Wind Aims to Achieve Two GW Project Milestone by FY26

Inox Wind installed 140 megawatts of wind capacity during the April-June 2024 period and is now aiming to complete 2,000 MW of projects by the end of the fiscal year 2026. As a comprehensive provider in the wind energy sector, Inox Wind offers end-to-end turnkey solutions and boasts its largest order book to date, totalling around 3,000 MW.

As reported by thehindubusinessline.com, the company has already secured 611 MW in orders, including several repeat contracts from prominent clients. According to CEO, Kailash Tarachandani, the overall outlook for the wind energy sector remains positive.

In the first four months of FY25, there have been approximately 7,000 MW of new wind hybrid FDRE (firm and dispatchable renewable energy) tenders issued, with around 7,500 MW of such projects awarded.

The company is establishing a new nacelle manufacturing unit on a leased property near Ahmedabad, which is expected to save significantly on capital expenditures due to the lease cost being under ₹4 crore per year. The new facility is anticipated to start operations in 2024.
