Jakson Engineers Ltd (JEL), a division of the Jakson Group is planning to invest ₹2,000 crore to boost its solar manufacturing capabilities. The substantial investment will facilitate the creation of a new 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility and the expansion of its current solar module plant to 2,000 MW.
The expansion, which will be carried out in stages, is expected to significantly increase Jakson’s capacity to address the growing demand for solar energy and support India’s renewable energy objectives.
As reported by manufacturingtodayindia.com, the solar cell plant is slated to begin operations in the next fifteen months, while the expansion of the module plant is anticipated to be completed within six months.

By incorporating advanced TOPCON technology, Jakson aims to improve the efficiency and dependability of its solar products. This investment supports India’s goal of reducing solar imports and contributes to the country’s net zero emissions target.
