Vedanta Aluminium announced that its CEO, John Slaven, has been appointed as Vice-Chairman of the International Aluminium Institute (IAI). In the new capacity, Slaven will spearhead global efforts to highlight aluminium’s essential role in facilitating the transition to zero carbon energy.
The IAI, is an organization representing the primary aluminium industry globally, aims to raise awareness of industry practices, advocate for sustainable production, and underscore the significant advantages of aluminium in developing greener technologies.
As reported by ManufacturingToday, the IAI’s membership includes leading companies in bauxite, alumina, and aluminium production worldwide. Vedanta Aluminium, which produced 2.37 million tons of aluminium in FY24, also manufactures value-added aluminium products critical to various core industries.
