JPFL Films Private Limited, a subsidiary of India’s largest flexible packaging company, Jindal Poly Films Ltd, has become the first Indian manufacturer to launch Biaxially Oriented Polyamide (BOPA) Nylon films. The company has invested ₹120 crore in its state-of-the-art facility in Nasik to bring this innovation to the domestic market.

Dr. Mahesh N Gopalasamudram, Deputy CEO (Growth Division) of JPFL Films, stated, “With the launch of BOPA Nylon Films, JPFL Films becomes the first company to introduce this innovation in India. These films offer superior mechanical properties and an effective aroma barrier, making them ideal for applications in the pharmaceutical, medical, FMCG, and food industries. Until recently, India relied entirely on imports for these films”.

JPFL Films utilizes exclusive Japanese double-bubble film technology to produce BOPA Nylon Films with isotropicity—ensuring uniform characteristics in all directions. This advanced process guarantees dimensional stability, puncture resistance, and consistency in film quality. Additionally, these films support high-speed printing and provide an efficient barrier against aroma and gases.
