JSW Energy secured a contract from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to supply 230 MW of renewable power. The contract was awarded to JSW Neo Energy Ltd, a fully-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, through a tariff-based bidding process.
SECI had issued a call for bids to provide 630 MW of firm and dispatchable power from renewable energy projects connected to the interstate transmission system (ISTS) under SECI-FDRE-IV.
As reported by manufacturingtodayindia.com, with this agreement, JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity now stands at 16.4 GW, including 2.3 GW of hybrid and firm dispatchable renewable energy. The company currently has a total generation capacity of 7.5 GW, with plans to increase this to 10 GW by the fiscal year 2025.
