Jupiter Renewables, a subsidiary of Kolkata-based Jupiter International, unveiled plans to establish a large-scale solar manufacturing facility in Rambilli, Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh. The ambitious project will roll out in two phases, with a total investment of ₹2,700 crore.
Phased Rollout to Deliver Gigawatt-Scale Output
Jupiter Renewables will execute the development in two stages:
- Phase I, worth ₹1,504 crore, is targeted for completion by March 2026.
- Phase II, involving ₹1,196 crore, is expected to be completed by July 2026.
Once operational, the plant will boast a production capacity of 4.8 GW of solar photovoltaic (PV) cells and 1.5 GW of PV modules, while generating over 2,200 jobs in the region.
Strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s Solar Manufacturing Ecosystem
With this investment, Jupiter Renewables becomes the third major solar manufacturer to set up shop in Andhra Pradesh, further solidifying the state’s position as a renewable energy hub. It joins the ranks of:
- Indosol, which is investing ₹69,000 crore in an integrated solar PV unit
- Premier Energies, planning a ₹5,900 crore multi-phase project
