Kanoria Chemicals & Industries (KCI) inaugurated two new production units at its GIDC Ankleshwar facility in Gujarat. The company commissioned an hexamine plant with a capacity of 18 tons per day (tpd), effectively doubling its total hexamine production capacity to 36 tpd.
Additionally, KCI set up a formaldehyde plant with a production capacity of 345 metric tons per day (MTPD), raising its overall formaldehyde output to 763 tpd.
The hexamine facility incorporates locally developed, environmentally sustainable technology, while the formaldehyde plant utilizes advanced metal oxide-based technology.
As reported by projectstoday.com, the expansion is intended to meet increasing demand from industries such as pharmaceuticals, rubber, textiles, and agrochemicals, with the company aiming to cater to both domestic and international markets.
