The collaboration aims to commercialize KPIT’s cutting-edge Sodium-ion Battery technology, reducing dependency on lithium while promoting eco-friendly battery solutions.
Technology Transfer and Investment in Manufacturing
Under a formal technology transfer agreement, KPIT will transfer its Sodium-ion Battery technology to Trentar.
In return, Trentar will invest in a state-of-the-art 3 GWh Sodium-ion Battery manufacturing facility. KPIT will gain financially through an upfront technology transfer fee and royalty payments over the next eight years.
