Specialty chemicals company LANXESS has been recognized by global environmental non-profit CDP for its strong commitment to sustainability. In CDP’s latest assessment, LANXESS achieved an outstanding “A” rating in the Climate category, placing the company among the top 2% of more than 24,700 companies evaluated worldwide.

Recognized for Transparent and Impactful Climate Action

CDP awards its highest grade, “A,” to companies that not only disclose their climate-related activities transparently and in detail but also implement robust measures to combat climate change. LANXESS earned this rating by clearly demonstrating its climate strategies, setting science-based targets, and executing a structured climate protection plan. The company has been reporting environmental data to CDP since 2012, consistently enhancing its transparency and performance.

Strong Performance in Water Management

In addition to its top score in climate protection, LANXESS also received a strong “A-” rating for water security. This reflects the company’s responsible use of water resources and its commitment to sustainable water management practices.

In 2025, over 24,700 companies submitted disclosures, making CDP’s database one of the most comprehensive sources of environmental information. As per the press release, the organization now covers more than 66% of the global listed market capitalization, reflecting its growing influence and adoption as a global reporting standard.
