L&T and John Cockerill Partner for Green Power Technologies

L&T Energy GreenTech Limited (LTEGL) and John Cockerill Energy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore advanced technologies in Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) and Thermal Energy Storage (TES). This partnership aims to drive innovation in green power and enhance the reliability of renewable energy solutions.

LTEGL, a wholly owned subsidiary of L&T, focuses on sustainable energy solutions, including green hydrogen, its derivatives, and electrolyser manufacturing. With its three core business pillars—development, manufacturing, and EPC—LTEGL provides integrated solutions across the green energy value chain. It leverages advanced technology, strategic partnerships, and dedicated research and development.

John Cockerill’s Expertise in Energy Transition

John Cockerill has over 200 years of experience in energy and industry. It develops cutting-edge technological solutions for the global energy transition. The company specializes in renewable electricity production, green energy storage, and optimizing industrial and power plant efficiency. Its expertise includes heat recovery steam generators and CSP receivers. It also specializes in integrated green electricity production and storage units, industrial boilers, and Hamon cooling systems.

Key Focus Areas of the MoU

The MoU will facilitate strategic collaboration in manufacturing, component supply, and engineering solutions. These efforts are essential for implementing and deploying CSP and TES projects.
