Mahindra Logistics partnered with Sangti Solutions Pvt. Ltd., an AI-driven sustainability startup, to introduce a technology collaboration aimed at enhancing emission analytics and optimizing supply chain operations from start to finish.
The partnership focuses on tackling Scope 3 climate pollution by offering carbon emission key performance indicators (KPIs) across industries such as automotive, telecom, e-commerce, manufacturing, and white goods. The initiative covers full truckload, part truckload, warehousing, and cross-border logistics solutions.
Aligned with Mahindra Logistics’ commitment to achieving Net Zero, the collaboration supports the company’s broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives, contributing to the creation of greener supply chains.
Mahindra Logistics’ green logistics ecosystem encompasses a range of solutions designed to help the company reach its goal of carbon neutrality by 2040. These include carbon-neutral warehousing, sustainable transportation practices, an EV fleet for last-mile delivery, tree plantation initiatives, energy efficiency enhancements, and advancements in alternative fuels such as LNG and hydrogen.
Rampraveen Swaminathan, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Logistics, emphasized the significant environmental impact of the logistics sector.
He noted that in India, where road transportation dominates freight movement, collaboration among shippers, logistics providers, tech startups, and other stakeholders is crucial to achieving the country’s nationally determined contributions.
Swaminathan pointed out that reducing carbon intensity to 45% of India’s GDP by 2030 requires transformative efforts. As India remains part of the voluntary carbon market, there is a unique opportunity to speed up the transition.
He expressed confidence that the collaboration with Sangti Solutions will enhance market credibility and support sustainable initiatives, helping partners achieve their carbon neutrality targets faster, which will ultimately lead to better air quality and improved public health.
Hitesh Bhuraia, Co-founder and CEO of Sangti Solutions Pvt. Ltd., shared his optimism about the partnership’s potential to deliver low carbon solutions to Mahindra Logistics’ clients, aiding them in reducing their Scope 3 emissions.
A key aspect of the collaboration is the development of a fully automated system through a SaaS platform. Accredited by the Global Logistics Emission Council (GLEC) and ISO 14083, this system will seamlessly integrate with existing logistics and supply chain management processes.
As reported by autocarpro.in, it will offer a user-friendly interface, accessible via web and mobile devices, for efficient data management and comprehensive viewing.
