Man Industries gets Approval from Shell Global for Steel Pipeline Coating

Man Industries (India) passed a comprehensive technical evaluation at its Anjar, Gujarat coating mill. The evaluation included rigorous testing of external, internal, and concrete coatings for steel pipelines. Shell Global Solutions International BV, a global oil and gas company, verified the results. The tests confirmed compliance with Shell’s Design and Engineering Practices (DEPs) for the following applications:

*Three-layer Polyethylene external coating for line pipes used in burial and immersion settings.

*Anti-buoyancy concrete external coating for submerged steel pipelines.

*Liquid epoxy internal coating for line pipes transporting non-corrosive gas, adhering to ISO 15741-2016 standards.

As reported by Business Standard, approval from Shell Global Solutions International BV affirms the adherence to high-quality standards, enhances risk mitigation, and improves performance efficiency.
