Matrix Pharma Private Ltd acquired Viatris’ active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) division for ₹1,445 crore. Matrix Pharma will become the second-largest API manufacturer in India, with a significant global footprint in antiretroviral APIs.
As reported by businessline, the acquisition allows Matrix Pharma extensive research capabilities, including a team of over 185 scientists, and access to approximately 600 Drug Master Files (DMFs). Additionally, the company will benefit from existing partnerships with major global pharmaceutical companies.
