Mitsu Chem Plast, a polymer solutions company, announced plans to commence manufacturing operations at a new facility located in the MIDC Industrial Area, Boisar, in Palghar district, Maharashtra. The proposed unit forms a key part of the company’s long-term expansion strategy, aimed at supporting rising demand and strengthening operational capacity.
Capacity Expansion to Support Growing Demand
Currently, Mitsu Chem Plast operates three manufacturing facilities with a combined installed capacity of over 29,000 tons per annum. As of September 2025, the company reported capacity utilisation of around 68 per cent, indicating steady demand across its product portfolio. With the addition of the Boisar facility, the company will add 900 tonnes per annum to its overall manufacturing capacity, further enhancing output capability.
Investment Backed by Internal Accruals
As reported by projectstoday.com, to enable the expansion, Mitsu Chem Plast plans to invest approximately ₹101 lakh in new machinery. The investment will be fully funded through internal accruals, underlining the company’s prudent financial approach. Beyond capacity addition, the Boisar facility is expected to improve production flexibility and responsiveness to customer requirements. “This capacity addition supports our strategy to sustain long-term growth and meet evolving market demand,” the company said, highlighting its focus on scalable operations and customer-centric manufacturing.
