MNRE Boosts Solar Module Capacity in ALMM by 4,089 MW

The ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE) expanded its approved list of models and manufacturers (ALMM) by adding 4,089 MW of new solar module capacity.

The expansion includes new entrants like Avaada Electro, Laxmi Solar Power System, and Uratom Solar, contributing 554 MW, 121 MW, and 46 MW, respectively, to the list.

Additionally, three companies already listed have increased their registered capacity. Tata Power Solar, Jakson Engineers, and SASA Energy have enhanced their capacities by 2,697 MW, 662 MW, and 9 MW, respectively. As a result, the total module manufacturing capacity under ALMM now stands at 54,076 MW.

As reported by renewablewatch.in, the MNRE has also revised the guidelines for the inspection and final approval of manufacturers who are provisionally listed under the ALMM order.
