MOIL Eyes Global Growth with Expansion Plans

MOIL Limited (formerly Manganese Ore India Ltd) is seeking international acquisitions of manganese ore mines and other essential minerals as part of its strategy to diversify. In India, the company is expanding its operations by collaborating with state governments in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh on manganese ore mining projects.

Currently, MOIL operates ten mines in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and contributes more than fifty percent of India’s manganese ore output.

In Gujarat, MOIL has identified 9.5 million tons of manganese ore reserves and is in advanced negotiations with the state government and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (GMDC). Production from this JV is anticipated to start within 12–18 months after finalization.

In Madhya Pradesh, the company has secured resources and is working to establish a JV with the state government and its mineral development corporation. Exploration activities in Chhattisgarh began in June. As reported by newsonprojects.com, MOIL’s efforts both in India and abroad are aimed at boosting production.
