Nouryon, a global player in specialty chemicals, has once again received a Gold rating from EcoVadis for its outstanding sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance. This marks the fourth consecutive year the company has earned gold or higher. EcoVadis has placed it among the top three percent of all companies assessed and in the top 2% within the chemicals industry.

Global Benchmark for Sustainable Practices
EcoVadis is one of the world’s largest providers of business sustainability ratings and tools. It assesses over 150,000 companies annually across 185 countries and 250 industries. The evaluation is based on four key themes: Environment, Ethics, Labour and Human Rights, and Sustainable Procurement.

Clear Targets for Climate Action
Looking ahead, Nouryon continues to raise the bar for sustainability. As per the press release, the company aims to reduce its absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 40%. The company has set this goal for 2030, compared to 2019 levels. It also aspires to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
