National thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) is actively seeking technology partners, both domestically and internationally, to develop Bharat Small Reactors (BSR).
In the budget proposals, the finance minister announced that the government will collaborate with the private sector to establish BSRs and conduct research and development for Bharat Small Modular Reactors (BSMR).
As reported by thehindubusinessline.com, NTPC’s strategic move towards nuclear energy aims to diversify its non-fossil fuel portfolio, with BSRs playing a pivotal role. The company is exploring technological collaborations with firms from within the country and abroad to achieve this goal.
