Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) announced that its subsidiary, ONGC Petro Additions Ltd (OPaL), has officially received approval to exit the Dahej Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The Development Commissioner of Dahej SEZ granted the clearance through a letter dated March 7, 2025.
Transition to Domestic Tariff Area (DTA)
Following this approval, OPaL will begin operations as a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) unit starting March 8, 2025. ONGC confirmed this transition in an official statement, emphasizing that OPaL will no longer function under the SEZ framework.
