Over Hundred Nations to Convene at the India Energy Week

India Energy Week (IEW), positioned as the world’s third-largest gathering for energy consumers in the oil and gas sector, is anticipating the participation of more than 4,000 delegates from over hundred countries. Scheduled to unfold in Goa from February 6 to 9, IEW 2024 presents a unique platform for India to showcase itself as a global hub for sourcing and investment in the energy industry. Stakeholders spanning the textile value chain, including government and industry representatives, are set to converge at this prestigious event.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) and with official support from the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI), IEW is hosted at the state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’s (ONGC) Institute of Petroleum Safety, Health, and Environment Management (IPSHEM) in south Goa. The upcoming edition, IEW 2024, anticipates a massive turnout, projecting over 35,000 attendees, 350 exhibitors, 400 speakers, and 4,000 delegates from more than 100 countries.

Previous iterations of IEW, such as the 2023 event attracted nearly 37,000 attendees from 149 countries. It featured 326 companies in exhibitions and facilitated 315 speakers across more than 80 conference sessions. As reported by businessline, the thematic sessions are expected to delve into pivotal topics including energy transition, the development of a future-ready energy stack, the significance of alternate fuels, and the profound impact of localisation, regionalisation, and globalisation on energy-related industrialisation.

In a conscientious effort to minimize the carbon footprint, the event organizers plan to deploy 40 electric buses, identify waste disposal locations, and allocate additional traffic police personnel to facilitate local commuting. These initiatives underscore a steadfast commitment to eco-friendly practices in line with global sustainability goals.
