Lhyfe, OX2, and Velarion are collaborating to create a hydrogen powered industrial cluster in Ange municipality, Sweden. The initiative will integrate wind energy with large-scale green hydrogen production, aiming to generate carbon-neutral products.

OX2 is in the process of developing a wind farm in Marktjärn, Torpshammar, which is projected to produce 1.4 TWh annually.

The green electricity will be used by Lhyfe at their planned hydrogen production facility in Torpshammar, which is set to produce 100 tonnes of green hydrogen daily, with a 300 MW electrolysis capacity.

Velarion plans to establish carbon neutral fertilizer plants within the cluster, utilizing green hydrogen to produce green ammonia, significantly reducing carbon emissions in fertilizer production. The project is currently in its conceptual phase.

Earlier this year, Lhyfe got up to €149 million in funding from the French government to develop a green hydrogen plant near Le Havre with a 100 MW electrolysis capacity. As reported by renewablewatch.in, additionally, Lhyfe signed a partnership agreement with Source Galileo to initiate commercial scale green hydrogen production in the UK and Ireland.
